A resounding thank you to everyone who came out tonight to make our Stonewall Democrats of WNY Fundraiser in Honor of Warsaw Deputy Mayor Cynthia Appleton such a huge success! I am endlessly proud of our Stonewall Democrats; who we are and what we have become, and I truly value so dearly the work you put in to make our organization successful. It was an honor to recognize our great ally Cynthia Appleton with the 2014 SDWNY Excellence in Leadership Award! A huge thank you to all our elected officials and candidates who attended our fundraiser- thank you to our great Sen. Happy Pride Week- SDWNY Spring Fundraiser is tonight!
Dear Stonewall Democrats and Allies,
Happy Pride Week! Our week to celebrate our pride in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied community begins today at noon at Buffalo City Hall, with the raising of the pride flag. SDWNY has much going on this week, beginning with our Spring Fundraiser this evening, continuing with our Monthly Meeting on Thursday and culminating when we march in the Pride Parade this Sunday. I hope that you will join us for any one or all of our events-- and wish you and yours a Happy Pride! Events information is below.

We are having our SDWNY Spring Fundraiser, in Honor of Deputy Mayor Cynthia Appleton, Village of Warsaw. This evening, Deputy Mayor Appleton will receive the 2014 SDWNY Excellence in Leadership Award!

Due to our fundraiser, we will be having our Monthly Meeting this Thursday, at 7PM at El Museo Gallery (91 Allen St, Buffalo.) We will be hearing endorsement for the 26th Congressional District (currently held by Rep. Brian Higgins.)
Sunday, June 1
This Sunday, SDWNY members, allies, elected officials, political candidates, families and community members will march and show our Pride in the power of our pink votes to make change!
If you're unable to march with us but will still be at the Parade, we want you to be a part of our annual community photo! We want everyone who is a part of us, our allies and friends to show our support by taking the photo together- the photo will be taken at 12:45 at Stonewall's place in the lineup. All our welcome who welcome all!

Time: Step off is at 1:00 pm
Location: NEW PARADE ROUTE! The Parade begins at Elmwood Avenue and Forest Avenue and ends at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street. Line-up will be between Rockwell Rd and Forest Ave. The parade will end at the corner of Allen Street. The Parade is encouraging participants and attendees to take the NFTA train from either the Allen Street/Medical Campus Station or the Fountain Plaza Station district to the Pride Festival at Canalside.
